Development history

The development history of the Bac Giang Province Industrial Parks Management Board:

On November 8, 2001, the Bac Giang Province Industrial Park Project Preparation Board was established according to decision No. 1812/QD-CT by the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee.
After its establishment and commencement of operations, on October 27, 2004, the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 127/2004/QD-UB, which specifies the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure, and working relationships of the Bac Giang Province Industrial Parks Management Board in accordance with the Industrial Park, Export Processing Zone, and High-Tech Park Regulation issued together with Government Decree No. 36/CP on April 24, 1997.
On March 14, 2008, the Government issued Decree No. 29/2008/ND-CP, regulating industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones. The board advised the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 15/2017/QD-UBND on May 11, 2017, regarding the enactment of regulations for the coordinated state management of industrial parks in Bac Giang Province, replacing Decision No. 68/2008/QD-UBND of the province dated July 30, 2008, and Decision No. 691/2016/29/11/2016 on the issuance of regulations on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Bac Giang Province Industrial Parks Management Board, replacing Decision No. 131/2009/QD-UBND dated November 30, 2009.

Initially, the organizational structure of the Project Preparation Board consisted of 06 comrades, including 01 comrade who was the Head of the Board and concurrently the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 01 comrade was the specialized deputy head. To date, the organizational structure of the Board comprises 50 officials and employees, including: 4 leaders of the Board, 1 Head of the Board, and 3 Deputy Heads of the Board; 4 specialized departments, and 1 affiliated public service unit. The Board's machinery has been continuously consolidated to meet the state management requirements of the province's industrial zones. After 20 years of establishment and development since the decision to establish the Industrial Zones Management Board, initial significant achievements have been made, contributing positively to the industrial development of the province.

The establishment and growth of the Industrial Zones Management Board over the past 20 years have been a significant contribution to the management and development of the province's industrial zones. This contribution of the Board in the industrial sector of the province has been recognized by various levels of commendations over the past 20 years as follows: 01 Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 02 emulation flags and 04 Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Planning and Investment; 01 Certificate of Merit in 2010 from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; 01 emulation flag and 05 Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee. Leveraging the achievements of the previous phase and the province's available advantages; the direction, support, and assistance of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; the coordination in performing tasks by departments, sectors, and local governments at all levels; and implementing the 19th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, along with the collective efforts of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Board, the province's industrial cause will continue to develop in the coming time, contributing to the economic restructuring of the province.
